Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2019 Nautilus Reserve, and I’ve noticed that both the auto start-stop feature and the foot-activated hatch release aren’t working. It’s still running on the original battery, so I’m wondering, could a weak or aging battery be the cause of this? Am I going for a battery replacement?

If anyone’s had similar issues or has suggestions on what to check, I’d appreciate the help. Should I be looking at replacing the battery, or could it be something else?

A weak or old battery could totally be the culprit, since both the auto start-stop feature and foot-activated hatch release need good power to work right. If the battery’s voltage is too low, those systems might not play nice. However, it’s a good idea to get the battery’s charge and health checked at a service center before jumping to conclusions about replacing it. If the battery’s all good, then maybe something like a fuse or sensor is causing the trouble.
