I’ve got a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus 2.7L, and I want to change the PTU fluid myself to save some cash. The dealership quoted me an amount that I’d rather not spend! I’ve looked around for DIY guides but haven’t found much that’s specific to the Nautilus.

Anyone here successfully done this at home? I’m curious if there’s an easy way to access the fill and drain plugs without specialized tools. What fluid do you recommend using? I’d love any advice or tricks to make this process as smooth as possible. Let’s keep those maintenance costs down!

Taking on a PTU fluid change yourself can save money but be prepared for some challenges. Accessing the fill and drain plugs in the Nautilus can be tight and without the right tools, it might become frustrating. Ensure you have a quality fluid transfer pump and verify the correct fluid type likely 75W-140 synthetic gear oil with your owner's manual. If at any point it feels overwhelming don't hesitate to consult a professional to avoid potential issues.
