I'm at my wits' end with the auto start/stop system. No matter how many times I turn it off in the settings, it keeps activating. The only way to stop it is this ridiculous workaround where I have to come to a complete stop, release the brakes, and then hit them again. But it never stays off for long. This is incredibly frustrating and potentially dangerous, especially in traffic, because it can cause sudden and unnecessary braking.

The auto start/stop system can be problematic, especially if the battery's state of charge isn't optimal. In some cases, replacing the battery has resolved the issue. If you're considering disabling the feature, 4D Tech offers a Start/Stop Eliminator that's compatible with the Nautilus. It's a relatively simple installation and has received positive feedback from users.

Is it just me, or is Auto Start/Stop on newer cars getting worse instead of better? I get that it's supposed to improve fuel efficiency, but when it activates unpredictably, it feels more like a safety risk.

Has anyone asked Lincoln if there’s a software update to fix this? Some automakers have tweaked their systems after customer complaints, so maybe it's worth bringing it up with a dealer. Otherwise, aftermarket bypass devices might be the only real solution.

This normally happens for the latest models. I am not sure if they have completed the testing for these cars especially on the basic features. @Kingpin_Diaz one thing for sure is they want customers to keep on posting issues and that is the only time they will release an update once they hear you. @pixelPusHer any update on your auto start/stop system?
