Just got back from a 2-month trip and found my brand new Nautilus (with less than 8k km on it!) totally dead in the garage. Had to jump it, which is so frustrating for a practically new car. I’m taking it to the dealer, but is this a thing with these rides? Anyone else had issues with the battery draining if it sits for too long? Any tips to avoid this next time? Definitely a bit worried about leaving it parked for long stretches again!

I’ve got a GENIUS 10 charger that I hook up to the battery when we don’t drive much. We stick to short trips, and apparently, those don’t add enough juice to replace what’s lost when starting the car. So, I plug in the 10 amp smart charger once a week and let it charge overnight. Battery’s happy, and so am I!

I’ve had the same issue when my car sits for a while. I started using a battery tender, and it’s been a game changer! It keeps the battery charged without overcharging, so no more dead battery surprises. Totally worth it if your car’s going to be sitting for a bit!
