Park aid fault after trailer light kit install on Lincon Nautilus

I recently had a hitch kit and trailer light kit installed on my 2019 Lincoln Nautilus Select. Everything seemed fine until I noticed that every time I put the car in reverse, I get a “Park Aid Fault” message on the dash.

Here’s the catch, I’m pretty sure my model doesn’t even have park aid. Could this error be linked to the light kit installation? I can temporarily clear the message by hitting “OK,” but it pops up again every time I reverse.

Has anyone experienced something like this? Is there a way to permanently resolve or disable this error? Any help would be appreciated!

It’s possible the trailer light kit installation triggered this error. It might be interfering with the reverse sensors, I think a reset or recalibration could help resolve it.

The light kit might be triggering a false signal. Have you checked if the installer accidentally connected to park aid wiring?
